Thanks, everyone, for your patience at registration. That first time is always the worst, but once we have your forms on file things are quick and easy.
We are assigning a permanent entrant number to all who enter, and it will be yours for the duration of 2010. As much as possible this # will match that on the car, but in the case of a vehicle being shared, the car number will not always be the # of the driver. In order to ensure the times are assigned to the correct driver, you must start in the posted start order, OR tell the starter person who you are if you are not in order. (If you are new to our events for 2010, please let us know ahead of time if there is a number already on your car.)
It is also really important that we know who are sharing a car, so that we can pre-arrange the start order effectively considering the time it takes to exit the car and the new driver to get in.
August 15th: It was scorching hot, but that didn't stop anyone from having a great time. Sadly, a number of cars suffered from issues of their own making, but Larry Louie's generosity in lending the use of his cars to others allowed them the opportunity to continue to enjoy the day. True rally spirit, Larry. We salute you!
At drivers request and by mutual agreement, the afternoon was brought to a close after 4 runs rather than our normal 6.
While everyone hit the road to return home, IRC workers held a fire watch and did several patrols of the area to ensure that there was no chance of anything catching fire; not that it was likely with a full smoking ban and not allowing any of the cars to enter the grassy areas. Again, we'd like to thank the land owners very much for their generosity in letting us use their terrific venue. Sadly, Bob G. (caretaker) has an injury and couldn't even spectate this time; we wish him all the best and speedy recovery.
The next rally cross will be September 19, and we highly encourage you to send us your intended registration ASAP.

APRIL 2010
April's event was a mix of mud and dust, with terrific conditions weather-wise, as the clouds mostly drifted away and it because wonderfully sunny. The 18 entrants had a terrific time, and some of the photos below shows how there were not only entrants, but lots of spectators. Everyone was politely asked to sign the waivers, and as you will see, nobody was missed, not if the tykes.

FEBRUARY 2010
February's event found the track a strange mix is dry and wet, but mostly quite firm where there wasn't any standing water. The severe damage to the track that was reported in January, causing the cancellation of the 1st date in the 2010 series, was almost completely gone. The staff at LeeMar volunteered their time and expertize to effectively pack the soil and rock into drivable condition.
The weather was just perfect, not too hot, not cold, crystal clear air and in case you didn't notice in the photos, spectacular views of Mt. Arrowsmith. Entrants found it a mixed blessing that no 4WD vehicles entered this great event, as they missed their buddies, but appreciated the reduced damage caused by the high powered 4WD cars, which normally results in having to modify the route after only a few runs. However, the excitement of having everyone on exactly the same level had the adrenaline flowing all day.
We were pleased to see a number of new spectators, several of whom are extremely interested in challenging themselves next month, with their own entry.

AMENITIES
There is a washroom in place, courtesy of the landowner. As it gets warmer and more people attend, the security staff will again provide us with much appreciated opportunity to purchase very reasonably priced hot dogs, deluxe burgers, sandwiches, snacks and drinks. Currently, you need to bring your own snacks.
2009 SERIES STANDINGS:
We are trying to come up with a fair way to settle the RX winner for the award, which is difficult to do because of having had 4 classes. When the series started, we had no idea that we would be creating a RX award. The Executive will discuss this and decide what to do, but the most likely scenario is probably to go back to raw times and recalculate from the very first event.
