Pacific Coast Challenge announces new 2012 series rules
The big change is stepping away from the standard 'all events count' format to best 4 of 5. This is being done for several reasons. T-bird is being added on short notice. Dang near everybody that runs PCC runs T-bird so this shouldn't impact plans greatly. The other reason to count 4 of 5 is the tight Fall schedule. This year we have an abundance of good events in the Fall making it difficult for everybody to be competitive without a little wiggle room.
New rule for 2012 only: PCC competitors will count their best 4 out of the 5 following events:
Feb. 11 & 12 - Thunderbird - British Columbia
June 2 & 3 - No Alibi - Washington
Sept 15 & 16 - Nor'Wester - Washington
Oct. 6 & 7 (date tentative, event is a solid 'go') - Oregon 1000 - Oregon
Nov. 17 & 18 - Totem - British Columbia
In the unlikely event that one of these rallies is cancelled, all competitors will receive a zero for that event. (Meaning you still have an advantage by running every event.)
Workers may still score points based on the scheme we've employed for many years.
Island Rallysport Club (IRC)
The Island Rallysport Club is based on Vancouver Island, in B.C. Canada, but members organize, work, and enter events throughout B.C. , WA, OR, AB and CA.
Membership is open to all.
We conduct TSD rallies, Auto Cross, Auto Slalom, and a two-day Rally School each spring, which has been acclaimed by all who have attended.
